Utah started making these fun black and white minimalist plates. I thought for a while and got one that said M+J. I freaking love it! It makes me smile every time I come out to my car.

Pre Ride for Baja!
Merril is going to Iron Man the Baja 1000 this year and went down early to pre ride some sections. Ryan Rosenberg and his Dad went with.
Unfortunately he crashed and smashed his finger. He broke his handlebars too. When he first called me, he thought it was broken. After sitting there for a minute, he thinks maybe it's just badly bruised. I don't know what this is going to do for his Baja race but it's still a few weeks away. Hopefully it gets better. I think he's going to lose that finger nail, no matter what. Anyway, after a bit he switched bikes and kept riding.

Halloween 2023!
One of my favorite times of the year! Here comes Halloween! 💀🎃👻 I saw these skeletons at Walmart and they were $29. I had to have one!
We got the pumpkin on the grass!
Mikayla was a green goddess. All things magical and green and growing.
I decided to be a scarecrow!
Juliet was Rapunzel. I was surprised to see a few other girls dressed up in the exact same way that Juliet was. I thought we were being so clever.
The boys were Hurricane Hooligans. I bought Jack a mullet wig and it was hilarious!
After a super night of trick or treating, the kids came home to sort and weigh their bags! They each had between 5 and 7 lbs. of candy. That's so much candy! 🎃
Jack mentioned wanting to go to Walmart to buy Halloween candy the day after and get the 50% off discount. I want him to help Mark and Mikayla eat their candy.
Happy Halloween! 👻🎃💀

Mountain Bike Awards
Jack is a Senior rider this year and also received the award from NICA for riding all 6 eligible years. There was a cute picture slide of Jack with pictures of him riding through the years.
Juliet received the "All In" award. She competed at every race she could.
Both kids had a great year!
It's a little sad that it's Jack's last year. That's what happens when you're a Senior! 🚲

Sadies 2023
Juliet and her friends made the hoodies for Sadies with freezer paper and Xacto knives. They put their nicknames on the back. Cute kids! Nicole seemed like it's worth it to purchase printed hoodies next time.
Jack and Leighna went together.
They are adorable! 😍

Mark turns 10!
The last of my kiddos is out of single digits! Only double digits from now on! 10 years old!
He requested a donut tower and we were able to go dirt bike riding at Dylan's pit bike race in Cedar City.
It was a great day!

State Mountain Bike Race and My Frist 5K
Here we are at the state mountain bike championship in Cedar City. Jack gets to race because he's a senior. He has a great attitude about racing but doesn't push crazy hard.
Despite Juliet's crash earlier in the season, she worked her way back up and qualified for state!
She didn't want to win state, just qualify and compete.
While in Cedar, I realized my cousin Brooke was here with her daughter. We had a chance to catch up for a few minutes between races.
Jack with the senior boys. Collin Phipps won! Jack got a flat and rode the last mile on a flat tire instead of fixing it.
Then we came home and I'd signed up for a glow in the dark 5K. Jack and Juliet were out but Merril, Mark, and Mikayla ran with me.
Swag includes all these cheap lighted glasses and rings. Lots of glow sticks too.
Mikayla did the fun run and won a stainless water bottle.

Valley of Fire=WOW
The Valley of Fire is a Nevada state park by Overton. I've heard about it and wanted to hike there for a while. You can't hike between May and September because it's so hot. We picked a perfect day during Fall Break to hit it. Such a pretty little state park. How have I never been here before?
It's mainly sandstone and petroglyphs.
A few small arches thrown in too!
And BIGHORN SHEEP! I've only seen them twice in my whole life! There were quite a few to gawk at!
My cutie peeps! I'm thankful they came. Jack had a ton to do at the house but Mark wouldn't come without him. I'm glad he came because then Mark came too.
