Taking Jack to the Temple!

As a parent, these are wonderful days! Jack Merril Campbell received his own endowment at the St. George Temple today! Juliet met us at the temple with the younger kids and we went to Iceberg afterwards. Grandma and Grandpa Campbell joined us. 

At the temple, Grandma Gordon, Maxine, and Grandma and Grandpa Campbell were able to be there. Matt Chappell was the officiator for the session. That was a coincidence but fun to see a familiar face.   

 

Quail Paddleboarding

The girls and I decided to hit the lake because everyone else in the house was out of town. Maxine was at FSY and the boys were in Idaho riding dirt bikes.

I'd never taken them to Quail to paddleboard before. 

The grotto at the north end of the lake is so lovely. We had a great time and finished before the sun was too high.

 

Juliet's Golden Birthday!

Juliet turned 17 on the 17th so it's her golden birthday! Brekky at Bear Paw is a perfect way to start the day!

Then she wanted to go to the lake and go cliff jumping with her friends!

Nathan, Juliet, Will, Allison, and Nicole are a fun bunch!

Calf Creek Falls

I follow some hiking bloggers on Instagram and I've seen people hike Calf Creek Falls. It's over in escalante grand staircase area. I've wanted to go for a few years and put it on the summer bucket list. Merril asked if we wanted to go for a little getaway. The hike was perfect despite me not feeling very well. I didn't want to cancel because it was going to be closed for the rest of the summer for remodeling.

We started early in the morning, around 8:00 a.m.

The falls did not disappoint. I thought they were beautiful, especially in a place where we don't get much water. The water at the bottom of the falls was pretty cold though. I only waded in up to shins.

Love this man! We've been married for 24 years and it's been amazing. Can't wait for more adventures!

Girls Camp 2024 and Fish Lake

I was called into young women's in April and that means that I get to go to girls camp! I wish I was able to spend more time with the girls but I was trained on a zip line and was there a lot of the day. I went with Merril to be trained on the zip line because he needed to be trained for young men's camp. But I ended up being at the zip line anytime it was running. It's fine but I don't think me or the stake young women's president had any idea that I would need to be there all day. 

It was hot during the day but nice and crispy during the morning. It was Mikayla's first year at camp.

This was our whole crew! I feel like we had a good group!

Juliet was on the stake hype squad. She would get everybody excited at roll call and when we would gather together. She and Nicole did great! They were so cute! 

While I was at girls camp, Merril went to Fish Lake for SAR training and took the rest of the peeps.

 

Summer's Going and Baja 500

Mark was attacked but the stuff in the garage. This is Jack's nice electric scooter that he won at Grad Night.

Merril and Jack went to Baja right after grad night to help in the pits for Kadin in the Baja 500. They rode a bunch of the course. They stayed at Baja Oasis. Kadin hit a rock and messed up his bike and shoulder a little bit. He finished 4th but wanted to do better.

Apparently, they left Baja, went to scout camp, and then came back to the race.

Undercut Mikayla's Hair

Mikayla has a ton of hair that has a tendency to frizz underneath. I think Maxine suggested that we undercut it. It was a little scary but it turned out great and she still has so much hair!

We tried our hand at a pattern. That was fun! 

 

Let Summer Begin!

Yay summer is here! We drove a truck to Toquerville and the boys rode dirt bikes. Talon came too!

It was really nice except for some little bugs that were trying to bite us.

We took a bbq grill and some hamburgers. 

Perfect way to start summer!

Graduation 2024

Mikayla ended the year by earning a jag valedictorian award.

Juliet won in student of the year in AP Calculus, Psychology, and got a 4.0 all year. Jack won student of the year in auto tech and the school mentioned that he won the Dixie Tech auto competition. Jack didn't want to go to the awards night but we told him.  

Jack graduated on the honor roll.

He wore his Dixie Tech medal and his Baja 1000 medal. Those were big accomplishments for Jack! Maxine was barely able to attend and then booked it to BYU for her first FSY counselor job!

Juliet and the senior sunrise kids. Now she's a senior.

Someone tried to talk to me about Juliet being a senior now and I was like, nope! Jack is graduating and getting on a mission. That's all my brain can handle at the moment.

Jack's Seminary Graduation!

Wow! Jack's got so much stuff going on because he's a senior. Today, he graduated from seminary! We're proud of him. 

I've got a list of things on my brain and I'm just plugging along and checking stuff off. Jack's seminary graduation, wahoo! Yes, done. On to high school graduation! 

Pit Bike Race at Dillon's house

Jack was really getting after this year's pit bike race. He wrecked a little and his face got dirty. He's okay though.
