I just wanted to mention how grown up Maxine seems lately. She and I have not always seen eye to eye because we are very similar. But now when I'm getting frustrated with her, she knows when to back off. If Juliet is tugging on my pants while I'm trying to make dinner, she'll grab a book and read to her. She's not perfect but I can tell she wants to be a good kid and she tries hard. Some days, it's just what I need to gain some composure. She's a good kid and I'm lucky she's turning out so well.

I love that photo and can I tell you it gets better? Lyndsi is an angel now. She's on year-round school and by the end of each "off-track" time I was ready to have her go back. Until this last time, that is. She was off for 4 weeks and I LOVED having her around all the time. Obedient, kind, helpful. It's good to have good kids.
Everything else was ready. It was just those stupid cards, but I was so determined to get them out. Glad you were at least on top of things!:)
