The Silver Lining...

Maxine woke up at 5 a.m. saying, "I feel like I'm going to throw up." Bummer. So I stayed up with her and she ended up throwing up at 6 a.m., 7 a.m., and 8 a.m. Double bummer. So she earned a day out of school and I looked at the inside of the house and thought, "Well, I'm not going anywhere today....I might as well finish decorating for Christmas!!" So I put up the Christmas village, the pine garland, the advent calendar, and the stockings. Afterwards, I figured I could assemble Christmas cards. Normally, I would've worked for an hour and quit. But I didn't have anything to do so I finished them all! They're addressed and ready to go.

Maxine didn't throw up anymore and seems completely fine now. And because she was sick, I got a lot done!
