Food storage room shelves...

For me, January is for projects! Christmas is over and it's too early to do Spring yard work. I can get some good work done and keep myself busy. I decided to work on some permanent shelves in the food storage room in the basement! I haven't been purchasing any new canned goods to make it easier to get the cans out. Everything had to come out of the room first. Merril helped me get some wood and left me to it. He's nice to let me borrow all his tools and helps if I ask.

Hook strip first.

Side shelves had to go in first because they were the largest.

I designed a place for my quilting frames to go and the blue water storage barrels. It was time to rotate the water anyway.

And then all the stuff had to get back in there! I can't believe how much I can put in there with proper shelves! I need to go through stuff and get rid of some of it before I put it back in. They turned out spectactular! I'm super pleased! Even if it took seven days instead of the two I was hoping. :)
