Utah decided it will be okay to send kids back to school for in-person instruction if they wear masks and are better at cleaning and sanitizing. We are lucky and one of the few states that's sending kids back to school. Arizona and Nevada are only remote learning, as well as most others. I feel like they need in-person instruction so here we go!
Mikayla wanted to climb this tree at the elementary school. All of these pictures are with and without their masks. The littles have lanyards to keep their masks from getting lost. Mikayla is in 3rd grade.
The tree Mikayla was climbing is right next to Mark's classroom. Mark is in 1st.
The seniors started an hour later than the rest of school so she got to sleep in her first day. How did I not get a mask picture? Maxine is in 12th grade.
Jack and Juliet are both at the middle school this year. Do you know what that means? It means I do not have a kid at the intermediate school! YAY! The schedule for the intermediate school starts earlier than all the other schools and that makes it NOT my favorite. It's also far from my house. Jack is in 9th grade and Juliet is in 8th grade.
I think the masks are going to be annoying but the kids will rise up. I feel like I can drive the kids to school so they don't have to wear masks on the bus. Masks at 3:30 p.m. with no air conditioning would be sweltering. I told Maxine she has to take Jack and Juliet to the middle school on her way to the high school. I can pick them up in the afternoon. I'm carpooling with Lisa Nielsen for taking and dropping of the elementary school kids so that's going to be awesome as well.
I can't believe I'm going to have all my kids in school all day! It's the first time in about 18 years that I'll have such a significant portion of the day to myself. I'll probably be doing more chores around the house. But it will also be less dirty with no one home but me.
This is my last year before everything changes. Maxine graduates in May 2021 and then she plans to serve a mission. This is my last year that my family will be just as it is right now. After this year, it will only get bigger. 😀
