Gunlock Falls was fun for us but there have been several SAR call outs to the falls because people slip and hurt themselves. One guy died and they had to go and find the body.
The Washington County Sheriff's office brought out some inmates to lay sandbags and divert the water away so the divers could go under the water fall. The man fell from the water fall and this huge rock was hiding under it. Unfortunately, the rock was not kind to him and he passed away.
I'm grateful that Merril is able to assist bringing people home safe but also bring people home so families can grieve. It's pretty awesome, all for being volunteers.
