The kids and I had been cleaning and organizing but took a break to watch a live SpaceX launch. It's the first time since 2011 that Americans have been launched into space on American soil. Previously, American astronauts have been hitching a ride on the Russian rockets to the international space station.
Since NASA and SpaceX have started launching Americans again, I feel like a trip to Florida in a few years to see an actual launch would be awesome!
Something unique about the new SpaceX rockets is that they have the capability to have the main boosters return to Earth and land without damaging themselves. It's really cool to watch the booster rockets return to Earth and navigate to the landing pads and return safely.
